Re: Main Promenade - The Hub - Deck 3

Khan completely ignored the youth's protestations as he continued to pull him backwards. Once he was clear of the group, he pulled out the CS spray again and aimed it squarely at his face, ready to press the button if needed

"Stop crying", he said sternly, "Or you'll be seriously crying".

At that point, the entrance to the deck opened, revealing one rather annoyed looking woman holding a big baton.

"Boys, boys, boys", Colonel Anna Maczarek said, "You got started without me. No fair".

Re: Main Promenade - The Hub - Deck 3

The young person gave the woman that walked in a 'who the hell is that' stare before going back to protesting being restrained by Khan. "Let go! I didn't do anything! Let go!"

"Sorry, mate", Khan replied, "It doesn't work like that. You see, we're not the law, we're security. We're not letting you just yet".

Anna walked swiftly over to the young person and smiled.

"Seriously, since you never really got it as a child... I'll give it to you now".

With that, she pulled out her free hand and gave him a clip round the ear. Then looked to see if she could go whack some of the others.

Re: Main Promenade - The Hub - Deck 3

The young person, who appeared to be a girl in her early teens had attracted a lot of attention from the people seeking shelter in the room with them. Anna ' s smack of the young girl got plenty of attention too. "Ow!" The girl cried out, struggling against Khan to raise her hands to her stinging face. The nearby crowd began to murmur to themselves, casting judgemental glares toward the teenager and the security officers. Still, they kept to themselves, not wanting to get directly involved.

Tears were starting to well up on the girl's face, but she held back from crying. The look in her eyes was hurt but defiant. "You can't do that! I have rights!" She called out more to the crowd than to Anna.

Kristina had only arrived at the station one hour before it's first disturbance, and she was going to make sure it wasn't her last. So she'd decided to personally check in on the situation, not expecting to find who she found there. "Situation report Officer" was all she said as she arrived and saw the crying girl, taking no pity on the "rebellious" youth.

Because, back in her day. Rebellion meant starting a bloody war

Re: Main Promenade - The Hub - Deck 3

The officer who Kristina spoke with looked a bit nervous. "Ma'am, we were able to cordon off the deck and move people into the disaster shelters. We then started to sift the crowd of agitators. Officer Khan was the first on the scene and focused in on that subject." he said pointing towards the protesting young lady. "We were starting interrogation when ....um... she showed up." he finished indicating Anna, their boss.

The crowd was staking an interest in the happenings with the arrival of Colonel MacZarek, many identifying her from the waves and commercials. They were looking more agitated than starstruck though.

Kristina looked first at the crowd and then back to the Colonel, deciding something had to be done now before she lost more control. Beginning with her officers she spoke quickly, and tried to dull down her accent as much as possible"Khan, take the agitator for the office. Lord know's that the scene with a crowd isn't the right place for one" Then she turned to Anna and gave a smart quick salute before speaking.

"Ma'am 1st Sergeant Kristina Steele. And I'd like to move you to a place with less of an angry crowd with your permission"

"So do shop owners!" Anna called as Khan started to remove the freshly slapped agitator, then turned to Kristina.

"Sure, go ahead... although I'm sure that this crowd will realise that I did the right thing. Seriously, my dad used to slap me when I was bad and it never did me any harm".

As Colonel Maczarek allowed Steele to escort from the scene, she did have cause to wonder how much of that was true.

Re: Main Promenade - The Hub - Deck 3

Steele just shrugged as she escorted the good Colonel out of the scene, keeping a wary eye on the crowd and a jumpy hand on her baton and compliance committee, which was just a fancy name for her non lethal shock emitter.

"Colonel, what did the girl do?"

Re: Main Promenade - The Hub - Deck 3

"She engaged in riotous behaviour of course", Maczarek said, "She should be lucky all I did was give her a clip round the ear. Others would have been far worse".

Anna let Kristina lead her away from Deck 3 back to their offices.
