Topic: (Stinger, Warhammer) War Hounds

Despite the two of you being loaded heavily. Your ground attack planes trundle their way into the air after a long takeoff run that would run you off a carrier, and an even longer one for the armored pig.

Once in the air the desert stretches out beneath you. Reaching as far as the eye can see. it's gonna be a trip. And this is a bad, bad place to get shot down.

"I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well to tell you the truth in all this excitement I kinda lost track myself. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow you head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?" -Harry Callahan

Hi, I'm from Detroit! (Yes it did suck)

Alex checked his instruments as Killer Bee followed along with his wingman RD.  The ground following radar navigation system had them on course as they skimmed along above the desert, just a few yards below.  It was a clear day for flying...

RD, in the lead checked the ground below her as the A-10 went over the desert at it's. Leisurely pace, taking note on her terrain following radar she did her best to relax in her seat.

"Y'know" She began "I read your file, this is... A bit out of the profile of any mission you've flown eh?"

Re: (Stinger, Warhammer) War Hounds

"How the heck did you get my file, Warhammer?", Alex asked in amazement and no small amount of concern.  The information was not secret, just personal in many cases.  "Yeah, you're right that I normally didn't bomb mechanized columns", he said matter-of-factly.

Re: (Stinger, Warhammer) War Hounds

"Well bombing mostly defenseless airbases at night is gonna be plenty of the work we do here" RD quipped, referencing Desert Storm and El Dorado Canyon.

"As for the how. I asked for it. You can do the same for me and all the other pilots here. We're all contracted through the legion and we all have enough clearance to get access to service jackets... and no I don't really care what you may or may bot have done, just don't abandon me over hostile airspace like Vaquero and we'll be solid. I mean hell, our CAG is here for dropping a 2000lb bomb on a refugee camp."

Alex listened, and was struck by RD's last statement about getting abandoned.  "No worries on that account, no matter what.  The only way I'll check out of the net on you is if I'm on fire and going down."  He paused for a moment, then added, "Just so you know, I went back after Dodger when she got shot down on our air base strike the other day, just as that big ass sand storm hit."

RD smiled in her cockpit as she heard the news, a reliable pilot to her was important, the past didn't matter in the desert. "Good to know Gramps. I'll not be abandoning you as well. I've done plenty of CSAR in my day so you're in good hands."

Keeping the 10 low she got a look at the A-7 and sighed.

"To uh re iterate the plan. We'll hopefully spring on the convoy from behind and I'll go in first and see if I can get their asses with the meat chopper... And you, you'll come in right after, real close. I mean like formation flying close and I'll let you choose how many bombs you want to drop. After that, we split off and attack from two different angles so they can't concentrate their fire. Hopefully, this big titanium girl will draw most of it... And I won't be telling Lena you bit it like the last two pilots"

"Gramps now, is it?", Alex retorted, "taking liberties with our relationship?  At least we're family, and watch out for each other."  He listened while RD went through the plan again, and he nodded wordlessly.  "I'll be on you like white on rice, Warhammer", he said jokingly.  "And don't be giving my combat pay away just yet, wingman.  I plan to be around a while."

The two attack planes continued their low altitude approach across the desert sands.

Re: (Stinger, Warhammer) War Hounds

"You're actually younger than my dad" RD quipped as the older pilot said the thing about family and confirmed the plan "I never got that white on rice saying" She added as she prepared to pull the trigger

"Oh yeah, since we're in the desert. brass check, also no worries. I'll keep your money to myself"

And with that she let a half second burst from her GAU-8 cut the desert

"You're a cold-hearted one, Warhammer", he said to RD as he watched her rounds land ahead of her A-10.

"Helps me stay cool in the environment" RD deadpanned in response as she watched the dirt get torn up by the cannons heavy 30mm depleted uranium rounds. Rolling her eyes at the US military's obsession with the stuff.

"Gun looks good" she added

Re: (Stinger, Warhammer) War Hounds

"i know some rag heads that are going to disagree with you, Warhammer", Alex said in response.  He had considered the A-10 if he ever lost Killer Bee, but then, he'd never be able to afford it.  Too big a note on Killer Bee.
