Re: Deck 5: The Golden Paradise Casino

Gabriel looked crestfallen. "I suppose they were right, this here all is just a sin and a conceit we can git the almighty ta do things our way. I'm done. Thanks fer showing me the game, though I still don't think I understand it." He stood up from the stool at the table his face hanging low. He turned and walked towards the exit.

And then he suddenly turned around and walked back. "Your not playin with me, makin me think I kin win nuthin here are you?"

Sunny shrugged along with his words.  There are a lot of things you don't understand, Gabriel, she thought silently.  Gambling isn't a sin.  Desperation isn't a sin.  It's believing in man-made-miracles you're guilty of.  And you're getting your just desserts.

Sunny smirked, and lit up a cigarette in a surprisingly fluid, single motion.  She folded one arm under the other to support her elbow as she blew smoke out her nose.

"You can win here.  The worlds are full of winners, Gabriel," she said ominously.  "But remember, play too long, no matter how good you are..." she paused, and ran her tongue across her teeth disdainfully as she looked around at the glamour.  Lights, drinks, finery...  "The house always wins."

Anna was slightly annoyed at this interruption... the Administrator didn't seem able to make a decision herself. Anyway, her reinforcements were supposed to come later... they'd have to wait.

"You're a bit picky about everything", she replied, "They're fourteen hours early and they can wait until I've done my inspection tour of the station. Tell the captain 'Seven minutes, 28 seconds'. She'll get the reference".

She turned to the boss after delivering her missive.

"Shall we go to your office?" she asked

- Anna Maczarek

Tomas indicated to a doorway on the far side of the Casino, a group of four well muscled suits stood by the entrance. "Of course, After you my lady."
-Tomas

Anna opened the door and let Tomas escort her to his office, gently tapping her cap as she passed the bouncers. As they reached Tomas' office, she took a chair without being invited and removed her cap, revealing her black hair, tied up in a bun.

"So, let's begin", she said, "Pirate attack aside, how do you feel about our overall security presence here?"

Re: Deck 5: The Golden Paradise Casino

A wide smile crossed Tomas' thin lips. "Mrs. MacZarek,  your retainers perform a valuable service for the station, however, the Golden Paradise employs it's own security, and they have served me well through pirates and bombs and the occasional drunken gambler. If you are looking for someone in need of your services I might recommend Phantasm across the way. They have not faired so well."

Re: Deck 5: The Golden Paradise Casino

"Yes, I plan to visit them as well. I'm glad that you think we perform a valuable service and I hope our security teams can work together in future".

Anna smiled as well. This would probably be over quickly, but she was going to spin it out a little more.

Tomas smiled. "We are always pleased to work harmoniously with the proper operation of the station. If we were to require your teams services in the future, we would make certain to call. We are good neighbors after all." Tomas stated sizing up the woman trying to determine her game in this meeting.

"Indeed", Anna said, "If you have any issues, do you want my personal cortex code?"
