Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

I think the bulkhead is twisted and that burnt out the motor or tripped a breaker in the controller board

The dock master got a cal from John Sheppard of unified

=" Sheppard to Dock master The bubble is secured,we may need that ships assistance, they have been lending valuable help , I have reports of a group of folks restructuring inside, that would explain why our job got easier, If the folks inside cannot open the door, I have shuttle 2 on standby to pull folks out via the bubble "=

Soon after came a second request, although from a different ship:

= "This is the Atlantis, ready to dock as scheduled. Where can we park?" =

Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

The dock master spotte the large Iskellion Raider on approach, they must have pulled something off to arrive so soon, and their main engine was shut down from what the stations scanners were showing, add to that they were firing their braking thrusters much like the medical shuttle that proceeded them
Maybe they could lend a hand since the station's resources were getting overwhelmed with the situation

James M ( Atlantis Owner, please let us park )

Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

=Atalntis this is Skyplex control, we are experiencing an emergency and all flights are being waved off...= Rigel was just about to reject their application when Marta came over and pressed the squelch key. "They are the ones connected with the emergency shuttle we were told to expect. At the minimum I understand they are pretty much running on fumes. Find them somewhere to dock, even if its a bit on the outer rim." Rigel checked the registry, it was a bit of a hike back to the main staiton entrance, but there was a space available.  =Atlantis, you are cleared for docking at Berth 17. You' won't get much of ground support, but you are welcome to land.=

-Rigel

Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

As Rigel monitored the goings on with the bombing she got a call from the Unified wrecker shuttle that had finished the job of assembling a pressurized bubble over the area where the station was holed

=" Sheppard to control, I have the teams assigned , I am proceeding to Unified to start work on the Odyssey"=

Rigel received another call from John, it had been a long day

" Dock control this is John Sheppard, I have handed over the repair of the club to the next shift, I am going on rest period right now "

Only the registered craft assigned to the repair were allowed to move about

Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

Marta and Rigel had just been finishing up Scarlett's request list and hiding everything of importance in the office when John's call came through. It was good to hear a familiar voice.

"Evening John. Thanks for the hand on getting the hull repaired. Make sure you get your billing into the paymaster as soon as you can. With all the mess the explosion has caused, it might be a while until you get reimbursed.

Its a good idea to get settled in for the night, it looks like no one is going anywhere for a bit."

That was the truth of it. If security was staging a coup, it could be a while until there was any semblance of normalcy on the station.

-Rigel

Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

At that point, there was a loud banging on the door to the office.

- Mercs

Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

Marta gave a serious look to Rigel and motioned for her to get under her desk. She walked to the door. She cued up the intercom.

=How can I help you? We are in an emergency lock down and can only admit authorized personnel.=

-Marta

Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

OOC: Maybe Rigel could toggle some controls to allow fuel to flow to Atlantis and Odyessy so that when things get hot the ships could get away with another release of the landlock, who knows the explosion could have messed things up with the docking controls
some how Atlantis needs to get her armored shuttle back, Maybe August could borrow it

"We're authorised personnel", came the reply from Senior Lieutenant Gerald Cushing of Wallenstein Security, "Our authorisations respectively come from Colonel Fogh, Major Havel and my shotgun. Open the door unless you like the taste of tear gas".

- Cushing

Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

Marta rolled her eyes and stepped back from the door. "The persons you mentioned are not recognized authorities. I suggest you find the station administrator or Marshall Langford. While your shotgun is persuasive, in accordance with station protocols, I cannot allow you entrance to an operationally sensitive area without a signed warrant from the Marshall. I hope you understand." She stated as she crouched behind a row of steel filing cabinets.

Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

"In accordance with station protocols, if the Marshal or the Administrator is indisposed, that authority falls into the hands of the Chief of Security, Lieutenant Arkwright, who has deferred that authority to Colonel Fogh under Section 16 of the Private Security Charter", Cushing replied, "Since the Marshal is unaccounted for and the Administrator has gone crazy, I have the authorisation. You have thirty seconds to open the door before we blow the lock and chuck in some lovely little tear gas".

The door to the office was a flimsy wooden affair (OOC: GM, is that right?); someone had clearly not put this situation in their planning packs when designing this place.

That door does not meet code for sealing sections from depressurization , some contractor cut corners

Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

OOC: I'd be really surprised if it was just wood. I'd assume it's at least metal - it may not be able to withstand a charge, or depressurization, but to have it simply be wood seems very unlikely for central ops of a space station.

Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

The door was a remnant of a decree from the Alliance office of Heritage and Culture. Keeping with the arboreal nature of Greenleaf and the enforced good feelings after the war, the wooden door was supposed to be a celebration of the growing and living bonds of the community after the war. Scarlett always hated it, but her father had been proud of the dumb thing during his administration. She had kept it for sentimental reasons. Reasons not shared by Marta and Rigel as they awaited their fate. Marta quickly crawled across the floor to where Rigel cowered under her desk. If security was going to take over the operations center, it would need to be through force, which it would go down in the record as.

"Twenty seconds!" Cushing called out, "Don't make me drag you out of there!"

As he waited, he assessed the best spot to kick down the door... or shoot off the hinges.

Marta would receive a text wave from Marshal Langford:

="Marta, what's your situation? How far out is the Alliance?"=

Marta heard the cortex buzzing and peered up for a moment to glance at it from where she and Rigel were heddling behind the desk. She quickly typed a response.

=Message was sent to them, no ETA as yet. Security is about to blow our door off. Need help!=

Re: Dockmaster's Office - Deck 4

Langford's response was quick and short, if not all that helpful:
