Re: Using the wiki
I would totally help out on this, but alas my computer died. And editing wiki pages with an IPhone is not ideal...

It is also on my to-do list (I know: I need to update the newsletter page), but I still want to contribute!
-Mischa
I've currently updated some of the page as of now. I've added some of the new sims into their appropriate categories, and working on marking the Inactive sims. This will take a long while, but most nights for me are free so this will be relatively easy now that i have a computer again.
The only thing i Ask, is that GMs adn SLs let me know if they want a separate page for their NPCs and Characters, or all on the same page. I prefer separate pages, it allows for less clutter.
- Raven
I can some edits too if you want. I've just signed up as ksabers.
Separate pages, I would say.
Oh Mighty Powers, hear my prayer. Could you please give me member status on the wiki so I can help with it? Thanks!
I looked a few days ago when I saw your post on the 3rd, but I didn't see your request. Not sure if it just took the site some time to process or you hadn't actually asked to join then, but I see it now. You should have access.
-Jason
Probably the former. Anyway I'm in now! Thank you!
I personally would like (and have always hoped) for the wiki to be a storehouse of info where players can look up well-nigh anything to do with either the site or their sims. This does obviously require a considerable group effort and I for one am encouraged to see so many people stepping up and contributing, perhaps especially Raven seeing it *very appropriately* as part of his GM Support Officer remit. I am glad.
Ash
I'm sorry I have been abit lax on the Wiki as of late. the Table Top creation has taken a lot of my time, (12 hours a day every day) I will get back on track and get back to updating and the like. I need to know for the Sims if you want them to have their corresponding banners and the like. Also I will change the closed Sims section to Archived like it is on here now. Archived has such a more pleasant connotation don't you think?
Raven
I would agree. And considering the banners are added at request of the SLs, I don't think there is a problem using the banners on the wiki.

Please go ahead. All my banners can be used.
Roger,
Working on the Actor's Index today. I'm going to get all of the Actor's that are listed in the Thread put up for now.
Then If I have time, I'll begin putting the banners and updating the Sims pages as best as possible. Right after.
Also, Does everyone want the Vacancies listed in the Wiki? Personally I think this would be rather difficult to manage and keep up with since players come and go as do Sims, but I can get it started if the group consensus says so.
After the Sims pages are all up, and reorganized appropriately. Do we want to move the Asterisked sims into the Archived Sims section on the Wiki? It'll be easy to create and it'll help keep things organized a bit.
Shortly after that's all done, Then I can populate the NPCs one sim at a time, and If anyone wants to help, let me know and I'll point you to the Sim Category that you can start on, so we don't edit over each other's work till it's all finished.
Raven
I'd suggest limiting what goes into the wiki as static content, mostly. Anything that needs constant updating is bound not to be updated at all. Simple sim status (open/closed) I think is probably sufficient, if even that is needed.
It's my opinion the wiki should be used for maintaining historical data and static resources, rather then being a place to find status of ongoing projects.
-Jason
I agree with Jason's suggestion here.
I could go either way on it. I would really like an organic wiki with lots of up to date info, but if it got out of date, that's just bad.
Ash
What we really need are more contributors.
Sorry, I'll get better on it this weekend. The last few weeks have been hell in Real Life for me and I haven't had a lot of time to just focus. I'll get better at updating.
Sorry again
Raven
Dude, go easy on yourself. :-) I reckon you've contributed more than I have. I say "I reckon" because I don't know, because I haven't had an opportunity to even open the wiki since I returned from LOA. Silent's right: it's not that the people who do contribute need to pick up their game, really, it's that it'd be a better wiki if everyone felt able to contribute a bit, every now and then.
Ash
Agree with Ash here. Just contribute what you can, when you can. Encouraging others to add to the wiki will make it grow faster than one or two people doing all the work.
