Religion: Catholic  Not extremely religious. Has a basic understanding of doctrine, but seriously questions if God is actually paying any attention to the Verse.

Quote: Oh God! What now...

Background
Personality: Scarlett is very temperamental. While she is normally very polite and friendly to people, she has little patience for stupidity or stubbornness. She is not a military person, but she will shoot you if you get on her bad side. Not that she likes killing, she just likes being dead less.

Personal History
Scarlett was brought up on the bustling Greenleaf Skyplex. Her father was the administrator and Dockmaster, so she knew everyone and every inch of the station. Needless to say she grew up with an distinct appreciation and passion for commerce and making money. She received her first job at 14 year s of age at the Donut-Czar-Us on the Skyplex hub level. She then moved into docking operations and gradually worked most of the support jobs at the station. In her spare time she tried anything she could to form businesses and make money. She ran a lemonade stand, made jewelry, made courier deliveries, sold Cortex units and even wrote a handbook for settlers arriving at the rim. Nothing made her wealthy, but she knew how to turn a legitimate buck when needed.

Her family always paid their dues to the Alliance, the guilds and anyo ther group requiring tribute. They remained neutral during the war, keeping the Skyplex open for any that could do business. Some years later, her Father was accused of harboring ex-browncoats. Eventually he was cleared of the charges, but the legal expenses and suspicion effectively ended his career at the Skyplex. Scarlett took over the administrator's post despite her gender, age and potentially being the relative of a suspected traitor. She held the position for two years before the Skyplex was effectively bought by criminal elements. She took to the Black to find work and make her fortune away from the crime and redtape of Greenleaf. She found being a young woman with red hair often closed doors to employment. This was the Rim, not the egalitarian utopia of the Core. Depite her best attempts she could never make passage to the inner worlds. She ended up working in back water world like Aker's Bluff and Whitefall.

In time the Alliance cracked down on the criminal activites on Greenleaf. Out of funds and down on luck, Scarlett applied for the position she and her father had once held. Surprisingly she got the job. The station had changed in the last few years. The underworld still held a strong grip on many businesses, and only close cooperation between business owners and the syndicate kept the Alliance out. Scarlett had to learn a whole new way to interact with others on her home station.

After several years of tumultuous and passionate administration of her home, Scarlett found herself on the wrong side of an overly technical Alliance audit. Her less than legal upgrade of the station's armaments as an anti piracy deterrent was discovered, and she faced criminal charges. After a prolonged defense that cost her most of her favors she could call in, she avoided prosecution but was relieved of her position as Administrator and dockmaster. She took an available job with fueling services, and is trying to figure out how to put her life back together again.

Friends:
Maya Tachow – (20) Administrative Aid, Greenleaf Sklyplex. She got the job because Scarlett could trust her and would be another woman in the head office.
Michael Andersen – (28) Lead Mechanic, Greenleaf Skyplex. Another Plexie that was brought up on the station. Frequently acts as an older brother to Scarlett.

Neutral:
Scarlett gets along with most merchants on the Skyplex. She is often looked down on for being too young, too female and too red headed, but she manages. Many of the older merchants knew her growing up and think well of her and her father. Many owe him favors that Scarlett can collect on.

Enemies:
Kelvorn Sun Campbell – Businessman and psychotic killer. Scarlett ran into him on Aker's Bluff and has been subject to his Cortex stalking of her ever since. The man just creeps her out.
Natividad Juarez – Alliance prosecutor largely responsible for driving Scarlett's family into professional and financial ruin. Scarlett sees her as heartless and unyielding.
Edgar Johnson – (38) Skyplex Operations Manager. He was placed in the office by the Alliance before they pulled out. He is a pain in Scarlett's backside. He has a chip on his shoulder against women, and thinks he should have had the job instead of her.

Interests/Hobbies: Tourism and entrepreneurial ventures.

Personality: To say Sapphire is modest would be a lie… she is out there.  Although she can be quiet at times, but don’t let that fool you. The girl has got some spunk, loves to flirt and a voice to match. She doesn’t like wearing too many clothes and has a taste for fashion and makeup.

Personal History:
Born on Greenleaf Skyplex to a pair of entertainers, Sapphire dreamed of the day when she could do the same. She started off local- there on Greenleaf. But didn’t like the constant controlling issues her parents had…always telling her she was not good enough or that she could do better. Sapphire rebelled. She became wild and reckless. And wanted to be herself, not what they wanted for her… and that’s what she set out to do.

Sapphire is now making her own way in the Verse, doing what she wants with her life. Even if it involves singing in a bar on a cruise ship, or posing in as little as possible for publicity.

Name: Jackson Kincad
Place of birth: Dyton
Age: 36
Height: 6''
Weight:220 lbs
Hair: Dark Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Rank: n/a
Status: Single

Current Profession: Casino owner - Lucky 38

Aspirations & Goals: To control the Skyplex - at the operations and crime syndicate.

Known Relatives:
(playable)Brother-
(playable)Sister-
(playable)Brother-
Sean Kincad

Languages spoken: English,  and Mandarin

Religion: Catholic

Personality: He is quite charming when he wants to be, able to win over most anyone, but mostly uses it for members of the opposite sex. Jackson is loyal to his family, blood or crime, and can be quite the asshole.

Personal History:

Jackson Kincad is the oldest child born to Sean and Marilyn Kincad. He was born on Dyton, but the family moved to Greenleaf Skyplex after the father’s rise in the mafia. Sean Kincad took over the legal and illegal operations of the Lucky 38 casino. And when the time came, that same duty fell to Jack, not that things changed that much when he finally stepped into his father’s roll. He had already been running most of the day to day operations, handling loans, and anything else that was needed.

He liked his life and the things, the people…everything that being the head of the family brought. Things that helped keep a steady supply of funds, or favors, rolling in. Like gambling and loaning out money; money that could then be collected with interest, or collected another way. Like favors.
Business.

Gambling debts.

He used things he had learned growing up, having watching and learned from his father. He used both his charming and asshole qualities to get what he wanted. As well as what was best for the family, the business, and the casino. Jack liked what he did, liked the role he was able to fill. The control it gave him over the people that came begging. Did he just happen to have a small gambling problem himself? Quite possibly.

Name: Jeannie
Place of birth: Haven
Age: 17
Height: 5’4”
Weight: 120
Hair: blonde
Eyes: grey

Current Profession: None

Aspirations & Goals: Find and kill the bounty hunter that killed her mother.

Known Relatives: none

Education/Credentials: Most of what she had learned (basic education, social skills, manipulation, etc.) she has learned from her mother. Other skills, like using weapons, she has learned through training.

Personal History: Jeannie is the daughter of a prostitute; she never knew her father. Her mother built a life for her as well as she could, keeping her away from all that had hurt her, kept her back in her own life. Of course, Jeannie learned enough about her mother’s life; knew what she did, knew why she did it, but in part also learned how she did it. And for a time, she used that to her advantage: she learned how to persuade people into getting them to do what she wished. She also learned soon enough that this attitude comes with a price and that people come to regard you in a certain way. Especially in the place where she lived.
When a bounty hunter (August Solitaire, she later learned) killed her mother because she had refused to once more lay with the mayor of the town, she decided to go after that bounty hunter. After she had killed the mayor, using the skills her mother had unwillingly taught her for the last time.

Her sole purpose became to chase this bounty hunter, but at the age of 15 there aren’t many ships willing to take you along, unless for other reasons. She refused those offers. So, she planned as well as she could. And she bought supplies, invested into training with weapons, and into knowledge. Weirdly enough, a couple of months after her mother had died – and the money and possessions she had left were running out – she started receiving monthly payments. At first, she had tried to find out from whom these payments were coming, but since she was hiding from local authorities because of the fact that she had killed the mayor, she was having little success; she bought a tourist ticket from the planet as soon as she could. Strangely, the payments seemed to keep track of her whereabouts, because she kept receiving them.

After a while, she simply accepted them as her monthly income; they were more than enough for that. Not that they were allowing her to live in wealth, but they were definitely more than she needed simply to stay alive.

Jeannie learned the ways of life. She had learned plenty from her mother and – after having killed the mayor – she had vowed never to go into that life. But she had learned how to defend herself; how to manipulate; how to get information; how to kill and not feel too bad about it. She was ready to hunt down the bounty hunter; to make the hunter become the hunted.

Friends: None

Enemies:
1. The bounty hunter that killed her mother
2. The local authorities from Haven

Personality: A reasonably friendly, laid back officer. Incredibly annoyed with the situation that she’s been put in.
Personal History: Kris was born to two very influential parents on Bellerephon in 2488 coming from a primarily Scottish and German heritage. Due to her father’s position. when the Unification war broke out when she turned 18, she could have joined the Alliance military as an officer. Instead choosing to enlist, she trained for recon and was eventually assigned into the raider battallions, specifically to the 5-1 Jungle Wolves under a Captain Delilah Wolff, her service jacket lists actions at Du-Khang, Serenity Valley and number of blacked out
After the end of the war, she went into security work in the outer colonies. Her scouting skills and skill with a rifle made her irreplaceable for the job. It was long boring work, staring out at desert after desert through a rifle scope, and making sure her workers weren’t dying, rebelling or stealing from the companies  they worked for.
She continued on in the outer rim for another 5 or so years of her life. Before eventually taking passage on a transport back to the core worlds for her mother’s funeral. After attending she met up with an old comrade who suggested that she use her skills for something other than guarding miners, so she traveled to Persephone, signed on for an enlisted course, and got assigned to the Eagles where she spent the remaining of her four years up to her assignment to the Skyplex after replacing the previous commander.
During the alliance crackdown and subsequent audits, Kristina’s company passed most of the blame off on the the station admin and Kristina managed to save her job, and was “asked” to take a long payed leave while things blew over, in that time she met up with some of her contacts and the rest of the 5-1, and starting working on her plan to form her own mercenary form.

Languages spoken: English, French, Scottish Gaellic, Passing Mandarin
Religion: IDent tags say catholic
Quote: “Ours is not to reason why ours is to do and die”

Personality: El’s a hotheaded, and dedicated individual, her fiery temperment was toned down with the war, but she’s still passionate about the things she enjoys. To most people she comes off as gregarious and caring, especially to friends. Whom she’s extremely loyal too
Personal History: Elspeth or Ellie to, people who she likes was born to Arthur and Rian Rousseau on Albion, growing up in an admittedly average lifestyle to a pair of mid level government officials, Elspeth had a normal upbringing, she did. Ok in school, better in Athletics and socially, as she was a cheerleader and got to sit at the cool table. Which is why it really came as a shock when she’d got approval to enter the naval academy. In academics she received much higher marks than she ever had in highschool and decided to take up Muay Thai on a dare, something… She ended up being interesting in, and something that helped ignite her inner fire.
Upon graduation, as she was deciding on where she wanted to go in the navy, that fire took her again and she entered the naval commandos pipeline and… In her mind inevitably passed. She served as a Ensign during the pre war years and mostly participated in anti piracy and convoy protection operations. Work than ranged from boring to action packed on an average cycle. It was over this time that she made it too platoon commander, and had been in enough combat to call herself a veteran when the war broke out… Or so she thought.
The war broke out and the Alliance’s various commando units were held back initially due to high commands over confidence, and many of the junior officers and enlisted were chomping at the bit and ready to be sent into combat, it wasn’t until the tide began turning in the independents favor until they were deployed. A poor decision of course, but a typical one involving alliance high command. However, Ellie and her team were eventually deployed to the war, and began their missions behind independent lines both in space and planet side doing a stellar job of defeating the Browncoats by using their own tactics against them.
By war’s end. Ellie had scars, bullet wounds, aches, pains and a couple of medals pinned to her dress uniform for actions in the war and a promotion to Lieutenant Commander for her troubles. She stayed with the commandos for two more years, coordinating work between the teams and overseeing personnel training before she resigned her commission and entered the training program to become a Federal Marshal in order to reconnect with her estranged sister.
After passing academy, and taking a job that would keep her in the White-Star system. As an officer of the law and peacekeeper, Ellie was very much a shoot first and ask questions later type is she could help it, and while she was a decent investigator with a high case closure record. Her trigger happy tendencies were some black spots on her career, even if the shootings she was involved in her justified.
About 6 years into her career as a Marshal, tragedy struck, her sister and brother in law were killed when the ship they were traveling on suffered, what the news called “a tragic decompression incident” which was never investigated any further and Ellie was given sole custody of her younger sisters daughter, and all of the adjustments that would come with that. During that period, Ellie had an, incident with a perpetrator and a fellow officers. An incident that would’ve caused her to lose her job save a sympathetic commander who instead of firing her outright, had her transferred to a newly vacated position on a skyplex on the rim. Bringing her niece with her.

Education/Credentials:   Bachelor’s Degree in History from Isaac Newton University, Londinium.

Languages spoken: French, English, Mandarin

Religion: Semi-lapsed Catholic

Quote: “After me, the flood”

Personality: A charming and open personality in public, but a canny operator in private. Loyal to those who are loyal to her, but if you move against her or appear to, she will end you. Has a keen analytical mind with a strong factual recall and mental arithmetic skills.

Personal History:

Born in New Paris on Bernadette, Theresa Giscard (“Terry” to her friends) grew up in a rich household where she wanted for very little. Well, except for loving parents, who sent her off to the Gustav Finnegan boarding school at the age of 7. There she used her street smarts and knowledge of people’s secrets to become the most popular girl in the school, heading off most rivals before they became a threat. The most serious threat, one Gemma Sonner, was expelled after the discovery of narcotics in her locker.

Her career choice at 18 was slightly surprising. A woman like her could easily have gone into acting or become a lawyer. Instead, she went to the Lancaster Military Academy to train as an officer in the Alliance Army, where she graduated as an armoured officer in 2496, commanding a ST-15 light tank.

Her career before the U-War was relatively quiet; there were not many calls for tankers in operations targeting pirates, smugglers and other low-level threats against the Alliance. Up for a ten-year service period, she was in the midst of considering whether to re-up for another ten years when the Browncoat’s did the whole Independence thing… which led to her commission being extended for the duration. At this point, she was a Major in charge of a full company of tanks and was soon sent into action to participate on the early campaigns of the war.

Major Giscard got a reputation as a safe pair of hands. She didn’t achieve any hugely spectacular victories, but nor did she throw her men away on badly thought out gambles, especially after one attack she was ordered to do that resulted in the loss of half her tanks; she still has nightmares about it. She was perfectly content to let others have the glory, especially if it was posthumous. Her soldiers respected her – she wasn’t exactly loved, but nor was she hated.

Her competence and the fact that many of her peers got themselves killed in the early years before the Alliance fully got to grips with Independent tactics – she herself had some real problems with using her light tanks in built up areas – meant that she was soon promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and moved to a staff position. While she had been a good tanker, she found that she was an even better staff officer, able to use her recall and arithmetic skills to reign in some of the wilder ideas of her superiors, while making sure that the other ones worked.

After U-Day, Giscard was promoted to Colonel and transferred to the reserves. She hadn’t gained the medals and acclaim of some of the commanders of the victorious Alliance, but her ability to run a tight ship meant that she soon found herself dealing with a lot of loose ones.

She was headhunted for one of the tougher assignments in administering the former rebel areas. Given a role as administrator of a small spaceport in the Outer Worlds, she demonstrated her trademark quiet competence, dealing with potential trouble in a variety of covert ways before it reared its ‘brown’ head.

Which is how she ended up being assigned to Greenleaf.
Friends:
1. Janet Potter. They’re good friends as well as good lovers, looking out for each other’s backs. Potter is perfectly willing to do any dirty work that may be required, within reason.
2. Pavel Markov, her de facto campaign manager who is conducting the research into a political campaign.
3. Emilia Giscard, her mother.

Acquaintances:
