Re: Episode 1: Making Friends and Shooting People

Cyrenia made her way up to the cockpit and cleared her throat loudly.

"Before we make our way" She began as she looked at the two potentially having a conversation

"Oh, pardon me."

Re: Episode 1: Making Friends and Shooting People

Rekara turned as Cyrenia began to speak and held up his hand to stop her from going further.  "No need to worry... I still have my kit in storage, and I presume the rest of us do as well.  I'll need to collect it and pay for the locker rental before we lift ship.  Does that allay your concerns?"  The Mon Cal looked at her expectantly.

Cyrenia stopped herself from grinding her teeth at the Mon Cal's dismissive gesture and comment, but kept her cool.

"It would do you best not to presume, it gets people killed." She said coolly as she looked to Raisa, "Do you and your brother have your gear together? If not. I suggest we reconvene later as I will have to retrieve my long arms, and the more weaponized elements of my armor. Weapons conventions are notoriously tight on arms allowance."

She waited for Raisa's response as she wondered where the unit medic had gone off to.

OOC: My reply got missed sad reposting meself in.

IC: "I have some things I'll need to retrieve," she replied. "I didn't think I'd need to bring an arsenal for one meeting." To Rekara: "While this ship is impressive, it's also somewhat conspicuous." Raisa glanced around before settling her gaze back on the Mon Cal. "Unless we are exceedingly fortunate and Sulon Inc. happens to employ this model of starship for security patrols, we are going to need take extra steps to mask our approach. Since my brother informs me there is a tractor beam, how would you feel about helping me steal a cargo ship?"

Re: Episode 1: Making Friends and Shooting People

Rekara noticed the woman's reaction and her retort to his attempt to address what he perceived was her concern.  "Friend Cyrenia", he said quietly, "I did not mean to offend with my remarks.  Please pardon my poor efforts and let us keep this beginning a positive one."  He watched her closely for her response.

Then his attention shifted back to Raisa as she asked him her question.  "I am uncomfortable with the idea of the theft of a ship without cause", he said plainly.  "We should, however, all consider retrieving our belongings at once so as not to delay this mission."

"We'll talk about this later, then," Raisa conceded, bowing her head slightly in respect. "I look forward to working with both of you on this venture."

Caden was already buried in the starboard engine checking the wiring when Raisa kicked his protruding feet. "Done," he said by way of reply, scooting out from under the main power junction. "This is a beautiful ship, sis. Any idea if we're gonna be able to keep it? 'Cause I have some great ideas for modifying the main computer-"

"I'm not sure." She helped him upright, jerking her head towards the ship's entry gangway. "We'll need to gather up everything we need for the mission, though. I know I've got everything back at the rooms, but what about you?"

Caden bit his lip thoughtfully as they walked out. "My slicing gear should be enough to get into the systems, though I'm going to need a ghost module if you want me to do more than just turn the lights off. There's also the signal repeaters, the sensor probes..." He continued to run through the shopping list as they stepped off the ship.

Cyrenia nodded to Raisa as she made her exit before turning her attention back to Rekara.

"Make no more mention of it, I'm not one to hold a grudge, it would get in the way of my mission readiness, now. I'm going to find the "doctor" and acquire my gear and munitions. Hold down the fort aye?"

Re: Episode 1: Making Friends and Shooting People

Rekara smiled at Cyrenia and was visibly relieved.  "I will need to gather my own gear when we have someone back here to stand guard.  Just let me know when, all right?  Until then, I have the Con."  He settled back into the pilot's chair and began reviewing the instrument layout and control options.

Ki'ora was in the cargo bay, looking around, spotting you Cyrenia she waves you over.

"This ship doesn't have a medical bay, which is fine. I suppose if we don't plan on getting hurt, but without a real space to set up and keep sterile I don't know what you want me to do, I suppose we could rig up something in the crew quarters or down here? Also, can I go? I have things to retrieve"

Raisa and Caden, you both know a few good outlets to get the breaking and entering gear you need, even the illegal stuff

With the departure of the last of his crewmates to collect their gear, Rekara closed up the ship to keep out unwanted visitors.

As the pilot nosed around in the ship's log and records, he found that the ship had previously belonged to an unsuccessful bounty hunter.  Mandal Motors Lancer Class pursuit craft Eliza Battle formerly owned by bounty Hunter Darryth Rothane, The Mon Cal read in the record.  "Hopefully we will be more successful than the previous owner", he said to himself.

As he puttered about the Bridge, Rekara tuned the ship's radio in to a local station that offered the equivalent of a Top 40 selection of Galactic greats.  He found himself humming along on some of the tunes while his fingers drummed along on the pilot's chair arm rest.  As soon as someone reported back in, he'd take his turn and retrieve his own kit.

Re: Episode 1: Making Friends and Shooting People

Arguing in hushed tones, the twins climbed up the access ramp, arms loaded with multiple duffel bags and a hard weapons case. "It's going to be risky," Caden warned as they deposited the bags in the secondary cargo hold. "I can't promise comms will hold steady, not with the sheer volume of EM traffic. No visual cover either, not with that level of air contamination-"

"It's a DATE, C, in a cantina. I don't need sniper overwatch, just a ride." Pushing the bags into the middle of the floor, Raisa lifted a weapons rack up against the wall. "Help me bolt this in. And quit worrying so much. We've both gone on dates before."

"But those were with mercenaries. Cartel security. Smugglers. Bounty hunters. You know, normal people. This guy's a... what is he, exactly?"

Raisa huffed. "He's an accountant. For an import company."

"EXACTLY. I even looked this guy up. It's not even a cover for anything-"

Raisa cut him off. "Go check on Rekara. He's probably been guarding the ship this whole time." Upon seeing Caden's scowl, her voice softened. "We can talk about this more later."

With a huffed "fine", Caden strode up towards the bridge and stuck his head in the doorway, momentarily distracted by the music. "Hey, thanks for keeping an eye on this girl. Me and Raisa got guard duty, if you got anything you need to fetch before takeoff."

Re: Episode 1: Making Friends and Shooting People

Rekara had seen the brother and sister return to the ship as they walked past the vessel's nose, where he sat patiently.  He lowered the ramp and heard the two thumping around in the back.  Caden came forward to the Bridge, and Rekara turned to address him.  "Thank you sir.  Keep the ramp up when no one is entering or leaving the ship, for security reasons.  Caden, you have the Con", he said in an even tone as he arose from the pilot's chair and went aft.

As he walked through the Hold he said hello to Raisa and then left the ship, smiling to himself when Caden raised the ramp after him.  The distance to his storage unit was not far, so as he walked there he "kept his eyes open", as the humans would say.

Re: Episode 1: Making Friends and Shooting People

Cyrenia had retrieved her additional gear, and it was in a large guncase that she held in one hand. In the other was an armor case, she'd taken off her over plates and was wearing the thermal weave undersuit as she walked back to the Eliza Battle. She had with her, enough arms and ammunition to take over an outer rim settlement. If that was something that was going to come up.

Walking back to the ship, she paused for a moment.

"I know that panel is around here somewhere..." She said as she looked around the ships cargo ramp before finding her target. a Keycode access panel with an intercom and a camera.

"To whoever's in there, Cyrenia. Requesting permission to reboard"

Re: Episode 1: Making Friends and Shooting People

A few minutes after Cyrenia returned to the ship, Rekara came riding up on his speeder.  His gear was neatly loaded behind him and he paused to hit the access code into his hand-held data pad.  The ramp dropped smoothly into place and the Mon Cal drove neatly into the cargo bay.

Once inside the hold, Rekara looked for a spot to secure his speeder along the forward bulkhead.  In a few moments he had the speeder securely strapped in place, and he then unloaded his gear.  Walking forward he called out to Cyrenia, "Excuse me... Cyrenia... where do you want me to bunk?"

Re: Episode 1: Making Friends and Shooting People

Raisa had almost finished with the Secondary Cargo Hold. It had taken an entire bag of supplies and almost the entire hour of quiet, but the hold's left wall now sported numerous weapon mounts hooks, enough for almost twenty rifle or smaller pieces. Against the far wall, a number of reinforced canvas loops and buckles hung, perfect for securing larger ordinance; not Raisa's forte, but if she remembered properly, Cyrenia had a flair for using large weapons. In the middle of the room, two empty crates were bolted to the floor, their insides partitioned off to store multiple types of power cells and ammunition. The right wall had a long flat shelf now attached; Raisa was in the middle of turning it into a weapon cleaning and maintenance bench when she heard voices in the main cargo area. Stepping out of the room as she wiped her hands clean(er) on a rag, she nodded at the two. "Rekara, Lieutenant... need any help carrying things?"

Caden was, at the moment, buried in the port engine from the waist up with music playing, and heard absolutely nothing. Humming softly, he poked around the injector assembly, continuing the process of familiarizing himself with every part of the ship.

Re: Episode 1: Making Friends and Shooting People

Cyrenia looked at Raisa and started to say no before figuring nothing was wrong with a little help.

"Thank you, blessings upon your blades" She said as she handed Raisa the guncase  "Also, I don't have, all of my equipment. I just have Lupo, my pistols and my Grenade Launcher, the rest of my stuff is in my house on Corellia. So we'll need to go there after we do this job, plus it's a big place so it'll be good to lay low for a while.

Noticing the speeder bike, Cyrenia noted that when they got payed she'd buy the team an armored speeder.  Walking into the now furnished armory, she noted some upgrades for it that they could get and set her armor case against the inner wall and keyed in a code. Which caused it to spring to life, transforming shortly into a stand with small maintenance shelves on the side, her now full suit of Black and Orange armor unfurled she turned around to speak to Rekara.

"Firstly, I'll need the access code for the ship, and once we're settled in the armory we'll get everyone together to discuss bunking."

Rekara listened to the exchange and awaited patiently for Cyrenia to acknowledge his question.  When she asked for the ship's access code, he immediately provided it.  "Has anyone checked the Galley to see if this ship has any provisions?", he offered his crewmates.

Having completed his initial once-over of all the ship's systems, Caden stepped out of the port engine room, cleaning his hands off. "We're stocked... if you like everything freeze-dried into chalky bars." He shrugged. "We'll live. Also, ship's ready to go, I'm now reasonably confident that if anything goes wrong I can at least nod and sound intelligent about the cause." He grinned. "Just kidding, I can fix it too."

Ki'ora the medic was the last one to the ship. Carrying a huge amount of gear with her, some she had, most of which she purposed. Knowing Cyrenia she figured she'd need plenty of gear, the only thing she didn't bring was a medical droid, but that was next on the list.

"What're we talking about?"

"Don't really mind the food." Cyrenia shrugged "It's not like we're going to be on the ship all the time. Anyways, bunking right, I don't care where I have to sleep. Although, Rekara, you're the pilot so you're getting the pilots quarters."

She leaned against the Armory wall once she was done and looked to the twins and the medic.

"Echani... Arkanian, what's your preference?"

OOC - Forgive me the quick response, but it is germane to Cyrenia's statement.

IC - Rekara got an odd look on his face when Cyrenia assigned him the biggest cabin, and looked down at the deckplates when he spoke.  "By your leave, allow me to take the co-pilot's cabin instead, as our leader should have the Captain's berth."  He waited for her decision...

"I am happy to sleep wherever," Caden said, shrugging. "Looks like the crew quarters have bunks-"

"TOP BUNK," came a female holler from the arms room.

Caden swore softly. "Apparently I have bottom bunk. I believe there's another set of beds in there in addition to the two cabins, so one of you guys gets to room with us." He grinned. "I promise we don't snore."

"If you would choose to not accept my orders, so be it. I will take the pilot's quarters." She said

"Now with that order of business, finished. Does everyone have their equipment? Once we're underway I'll need a refresher on what you're bringing to the table, and we'll have to figure out shifts. Besides that, I think we can make way, at least on my end"
