With the reflection and wisdom that comes from knowing these positions quite throughly, what do you each feel needs to be done to make Phoenix thrive with established players, attract new players and keep up with current opportunities in the wider RP community?
I personally think it is the same answer for both established players as well as new players, Phoenix as a whole needs an overhaul. Restructuring the site to make it function better and to draw in new member. To focus on the quality games we have and make them thrive. Graphics. Rules. Government. Did I not state overhaul? Change, folks, is not necessarily a bad thing.
What we look like needs to change, how we play obviously needs a change since we have a GM shortage. Games need to be made fun again.
Advertising! Yes, we need a section that is clearly set aside to allow guest posting for advertising purposes, but we also need to be able to appeal to the guest, with graphics and features and whatnot.
I have tired on numerous occasions to get people that I love to write with to join Phoenix and they rarely get past out index. They don't understand our setup, our navigation so to speak. I have pestered Euan on many an occasion asking what we could do, what we can change, what features we can add.
Current opportunities, I am a tad bit confuzzled by...?
do you believe that Phoenix is in decline?
Yes. And we need to fix this. I have spent the last few years trying to get some changes. Let's do it now before Phoenix does not see it's 10 year anniversary.
